Message	is the point in this scenario. in such a situation, an electric car would be immensely efficient. the hassle becomes plugging it in over night to charge(and of course replacing batteries after several years, depending on the batteries of course). good luck with self sufficient. energy can not be created nor destroyed. it would have to be solar panel charging while at work and driving, and hope the sky is not broken (5/8-7/8 overcast) or overcast.
